I usually have pups for adoption, or pups that I am taking reservations on.
I also sometimes have several male tanks and female tanks available with gerbils that are
less than a year old (their adoption fee will differ and will include their set-up)
Adoption Fees:
Gerbils: $7 per gerbil, $12 per pair.
Campbell: $6
Syrian: $10
Winter White: $10
Roborovski: $15
White-Faced Robo: $20
I can (on request) include a complete set-up (at cost) for your new furry family members.
This would include a 10 gal tank with lid and bedding (corncob or aspen), food bowl (if
needed) with starter food, water bottle, and chew sticks.
I can provide care instructions to help you take care of your new pet. Also, I can provide
answers to questions that you my have.
I have a return policy, if you can no longer provide for your furries, I will take them back.
I have several requirements prior to taking home a new pet from Double
Star Kennels.
1. After lovingly taking care of them for the first few weeks of their little lives. I WILL
NOT SELL THEM AS FEEDERS.
2. I will sell to minors provided that they have a parents consent (and promise to make
sure the gerbil is cared for).
3. I do not ship, it is illegal by the postal service and costly any other way. I am willing to
drive a reasonable distance to meet someone part way if necessary. I will require a
fee to help cover gas.
4. Gerbils are VERY sociable creatures, they NEED a companion. The only reason I
would sell a single gerbil would be if you had another to pair it with or if I get one that I
determine to be too aggressive toward other gerbils.
5. Keep in mind that illness does occur in these little guys, you should have a vet to take
them to in case of emergency.
6. Finally, I want to keep in touch with the gerbils I adopt out. I request a way to keep in
touch and will provide my e-mail address so that you will be able to let me know how
your new family member is doing. Also, you can e-mail me with questions and the
occasional photo would be wonderful too.
