BWC's DGG's Winter Wolf (Winter) - Born Oct 2005 - Died April 2009
Parents:
DREAMER (Mottled Black M, full brother/littermate to Robin from Tag x Vicki)
DANCER (Siamese Female from Kecia of Furry Flowers' Tinkerbell x Peter Pan & descendants of Indy x Furry (Indy's son) of ABC Gerbils
was born in Oct 2005. He was actually born at BWC while Jo was watching gerbils for me while I was on vacation in Texas after the MW show that year. It didn't take long to realize that we
had a special extreme mottled black (the most extreme ever born at DSG and at, least at the time, the most extreme born to the legendary Piccasso line at BWC), he was named Winter Wolf
to honor his long standing ancestry at BWC and (after he was weaned) spent the first part of his life with Jo. He enjoyed a great life down there (I'm sure his offspring would tell you about it :)
and in Oct 2006 he won a ribbon at the MW Show.
In the Spring of 2007 he came back to DSG (his beloved father Dreamer was ill and he needed to come home). After a failed pairing with what was sposed to be his next wife - her fault not
his - he lived out his retirement with his "son" PB, a gentle runt that needed a friend. In those final months I would often walk by his tank and ask "how is old man Winter?" I find it very ironic
that the day after the weather guy here "stuck a fork in Winter for this season" that Winter decided that it was his time to go.
He lived a great long life and he leaves behind several generations (some which live at DSG) and will live on through them. He will be greatly missed!
