Double Star
Small Animal Kennels
Dwarf Hamsters
White-Faced Robo
Mottled Male Campbell
In the late Summer/early Fall of 2004 something new
caught my eye.  On the e-list I belonged to, there
had been a discussion about these little super
friendly typed Dwarf Hammies.  They were called
Roborovski, Robo for short.  A few weeks later, I
went to a local pet store and actually saw them for
the first time and thought that they REALLY were
cute and after handling them, found that they didn't
bite.  So I grabbed a pair (male and female).  Sadly, I
also found out that they are NOT the kind of hamster
that you want to hold.  The little boy got away and we
never did find him :(  But a couple of days later the
little female had some new company (in the form of
babies).  I ended up keeping most of t
hem.

The whole chain of events was set in motion by
those friendly little hamsters.  I found a couple of
Winter White boys in another pet store very close to
the same time and brought them home as well.  I
then got a super friendly set of females (Winter
White and a Campbell) from my friend Kat in October
of that year.  Not to mention Helen, who was a
beautiful, sweet Winter White female.

Oct (2005) I picked up 7 more hamsters from PKK.

6 Campbell's and one White-Faced Robo (that she
found in Canada!!!)

That Boy was named Clown - I still have his son
Trapeze who will likely go with Lady or Gypsy this
Spring.

Double Star's current Dwarf count stands at
4.
12/26/07 - update - We have 2 female White-Faced
Robo's joining us.
